Here's an RF power amplifier cabinet that sustained major damage. The rack on the bottom (which weighs several hundred pounds) has broken loose from the rear supports and flopped down - tearing all of the connectors between it and the main amplifier up top.
We later found that the RF tube in the top deck had also come loose and smashed most of the interior of the plate deck at the top.
The door to the left was on the front of the cabinet when the bottom rack broke loose and sustained some pretty serious damage as well.
This cabinet was actually returned to operation and worked for several years. |
