Warranty and returns
When comparing prices for parts, be sure to consider like items. Another vendor may have a lower price, but are they warrantying the part? Is it fully tested with a documented history? All vendors and parts are not the same. You might be saving a few $ at first, but if your scanner's not up tomorrow because the part's DOA, you have to start all over again. You can always ask us to match a documented price. If it's reasonable, we probably will.
JDIS parts carry a standard 6-month warranty, but we have some reasonable exceptions. We don't honor warranty claims where there is obvious customer damage (like this gradient amplifier that's been rather ungently handled). In most cases, if our parts fail within the warranty period, we will ship you a replacement for next-day delivery at our expense or repair your item1 at no charge.
We accept returns for restocking up to 10 days after the initial shipment. Items which are restocked are subject to a 25% charge to cover our costs for recertification2. You do not need an RMA to return a part. Just ship it to us and we'll process it automatically.
Items sold on an exchange basis require you return an acceptable exchange item within 30 days of the initial shipment. Late returns are refused and the full outright price is charged.
